Band
The I Am The Mighty Jungulator band extend the parameters of live sample processing using the generative potency of their audio engine, also called I Am The Mighty Jungulator, and described as 'the sonic philosophers stone' by future music magazine. After months of heavy programming, I Am The Mighty Jungulator finally does what it says on the tin, and delivers that rare electro-acoustic-interplay-of-analogue-digital-with-zero-latency that we were always promising (fingers, strings, and wood, captured and instantly shaped into glistening electronic textures and that). The phenomenal live-sampling power was roadtested at Bath International Music Festival on 2nd June 2006, and honed over further gigs around Bristol, Bath and London, passing with flying colours and no kernel panics, so its all systems glow for summer 2007 . . .
Within this new responsive, improvised continuum the band are free to steer the music in any number of structured or random directions (like riding a drugged bull), whilst the jungulator keeps everything in tune and in time.
The Jungulator band is currently operating as a classic power trio of bass/midibass, guitar/loops and jungulator/jungulator...over the next few months we'll be releasing a bunch of extended EPs and several Albums, showcasing the wildly divergent tangents that the band tend to lurch between (prog, knees-up, etc) and we're organising a few live bits and bobs for the near future...we're thinking of welcoming guest keyboards back into the fold, and there may yet be a reappearance of the plaintive eastern european folk instrument vibe we sported a while ago...we shall see...the music's evolving faster than we can record it...its like that cake the womens institute make that keeps growing in your fridge...
