PAYP 2 - Outreach activities and workshops 2005/06
Following the success of the first program for Connexions West of England's PAYP scheme (positive activities for young people), IATMJ worked with four different Bristol communities and youth organisations to deliver an exciting range of activities. This work enabled us to further develop both methods and software, creating a feedback loop between the workshops and IATMJ's audio-visual performances.

90 Second Challenge Factory - The Park Opportunity Centre - Knowle West - Bristol - August 2005

IATMJ returned to the park to facilitate production of several audio-visual shorts for Watershed's 90 second Challenge. Over 4 afternoon sessions, a production system was established to enable multiple groups of young people to produce both abstract and narrative video work using responsive real-time camera techniques, and through guided interaction with Jungulator's live input audio-engine.

Save The Juicy Blitz Bar - Lawrence Weston - Bristol - October 2005

IATMJ returned to the Juicy Blitz a year on from their initial visit to facilitate production of 'Save The Juicy Blitz', a short film highlighting the fantastic achievements of the young people supported by Bread Youth Project. Working quickly, 'The Juicy Blitz rap' was recorded for the soundtrack, and all filming conducted in one day. IATMJ produced a DVD to support an emergency fundraising appeal to prevent this valuable resource shutting down. At an awareness raising evening held at Watershed in December it appeared that funding had been secured, but we are sad and baffled to say that The Juicy Blitz has since been forced to close.
Watch the movie (5 mins) to understand why shutting the Juicy Blitz Bar is a blow to the community in Lawrence Weston.
My City - The Basement Project - Bristol - February 2006

IATMJ worked with young people from The Basement Project right in the heart of the city to facilitate production of 4 music videos in 2 days. This demonstrated how IATMJ's audio-viual production capacity for activities of this type, enabled participating young people to gain maximum advantage of a package of technologies and methods, designed in response to our work with young people.
